Face Book marketing for Kenyan Dentists

Dentists are brave. Some Kenyan dentists are still open for business despite the COVID19 pandemic. Dentists run a special type of business:
• They sell a service that people need. Dentists don’t need to convince people that they need to see a dentist. They need to convince people that they’re the dentist the person needs to see.
• They sell a service that people don’t want. Many people dread going to the dentist and could use some help to overcome the anxiety associated with dental visits.
• They’re not actually selling a product. They’re selling a long term relationship wit ha patient and their entire family
• They sell a service that people need. Dentists don’t need to convince people that they need to see a dentist. They need to convince people that they’re the dentist the person needs to see.
Studies say a majority of patients don’t believe a dentist’s Facebook page plays much of a role in the choosing of a dentist. But they said these things do:
• Recommendations from friends and family.
• Online reviews.
• The overall digital customer experience with the dental practice
So what should inform your Facebook marketing strategy
1. Know your target patients – age, gender, psychological and emotional profiles
2. Generate reviews and referrals – get your satisfied patients to post reviews on your FB page
3. Keep a close eye on your competitors – watch the quality and frequency of their posts among other variables and be better
4. Provide a clear call to action – like have a Book now button on your Fb page directing enquiries to you website
5. Be personal
6. Be family oriented
7. Be personal
8. Share content that is engaging and encourages engagement
